Welcome to Pickerington Restaurant Reviews website. My name is Robin and I'm a food junkie! ( Yes, I can admit it! No denial here! ) I am a mom of 3 young children (10, 8 & 4)and I live in Pickerington, Ohio. It's a funny story as to how/why this site began... I am a foodie, I love to go out and check out new places, I love to see how they decorate shops or how fun the drinks may look and I love to eat! And since I have a family of 5 I love to get a deal when going out to eat. So the senario was, hubby and I were watching The Next Food Network Star a few weeks ago and I heard them mention the one contestant who was a food blogger. I thought wow, what an awesome job to have, you go out to eat and write down your thoughts on it. Seems genius right? So we jokingly say, "hey wouldn't it be fun if we had a website and reviewed local food establishments?" So he said "why couldn't we?" He had to learn a little computer language (which was a breeze for my computer guru) but after just a week or two of pounding the pavement (AKA keyboard) we have a site up and running! Our goal is to be simple, fun and informative. Some portion of my family will head out each week to a new local eatery and we will casually snap some pictures of our menu items and we will pay close attention to the details of the ingredients and locale, we will mention service pros/cons as we feel necessary and we will report back to you with it. We will also have a calendar posted with discounts or deals as we come across them so that you may share in our dining out savings. We have a recipe tab available as well. This will just serve as an extension of the inner foodie in us to find yet another new recipe we may want to try! Feel free to send me your recipes that you want to share as well. There will also be a link for comments, suggestions and such. So if you know of a good local stop to grab a bite or if you've been curious about a place yourself but haven't yet tried it, please post and let us know what your suggestions might be and we will do our best to fulfill them. We're keeping it local right now on the site (baby steps lol), so Pickerington, Canal Winchester & Reynoldsburg are all up for grabs currently.
